ABOUT VOLT
Jan-Maurice "Volt" Wolter is an internationally renowned dance-artist and cultural worker based in
Düsseldorf, Germany.
Working as a dancer, educator, pedagogue and event organizer, Volt has over 17 years of experience living through and working with the
street dance culture.
He has collaborated with international brands and has taken part in dance competitions all over the world. Creating a platform for the growing waving community, he offers weekly classes, regular workshops, and more. He is the organizer of the biggest annual Boogaloo event in Europe,
the “Poppers Weekend”.
Volt is a member of one of the worlds strongest waving crews, Kittridge Waves, and co-founder of the Tide Together Collective.
He provides the international scene with waving events as well as dance-related knowledge through his
“TideTogether Podcast”.
Since 2024 Volt is part of the Diving in Tides GbR which organizes the european waving qualifier for the world championship held in Los Angeles, CA.

ONGOING PROJECTS
Tide Together is an internationally active waving collective, based in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
The collective educates about the street dance style "waving", creating classes, workshops and waving dance sessions.
Tide Together furthermore hosts a podcast to educate and spread the dance style waving. The podcast dissects dance related topics and invites dancers of different styles to discuss knowledge beyond waving.

Poppers Weekend is an international boogaloo-culture dance event, established in 2016.
The 3 day camp aims to elevate the culture by connecting communities through positive artistic exchange. Because preserving urban cultures goes beyond a competitive background, Popper's Weekend encourages exchange in a connected learning environment.

"The Avatar Journey" is Volts constantly evolving trainings-program, established in 2024.
The program combines his over 17 years of dance didactical knowledge with a gamified approach to
training-optimization in dance. Through his approaches in teaching and mentoring, Volt was able to effectively train and educate hundreds of dancers as a professional dance educator.
